Brazen Head opened in December 1998 with a clear idea: bring the warmth and character of a traditional Irish pub to Omaha, then give it time to become a local in its own right.

The pub was inspired by Dublin's historic Brazen Head. Our bar was designed in Dublin, built in Wexford, shipped to the United States, and reassembled under the watch of Irish joiners. So yes, the Irish part is more than a theme.

Larry Good and Teri Ochoa took over in October 2019 and continue the tradition today: good food, good drinks, and a relaxed place where people can gather.

Keep it honest

We serve the kind of pub food people actually want to eat: filling, familiar, and made to go well with a pint. No grand speech needed.

Don't rush it

A good pour takes the time it takes. So does a good night out. Settle in, catch up, and let the next round wait until you're ready.

Make room

Regulars, first-timers, families, old friends, and the person who came in for one quick drink are all welcome. There is room at the pub for you.

Around the Pub

The Space

The bar and back bars were designed in Dublin and built in Wexford before making the trip to Omaha. Irish joiners supervised the reassembly, which is a fairly serious journey for a place where we mostly want you to relax.

Designer Michael Griffen planned the back bars, ceilings, mosaic floors, antique memorabilia, and all the details that make the room feel lived-in. The hand-carved woodwork came from third-generation joiners B. Dunbar & Sons.

Need a little more room? The library-style Robert Emmet Room has a private bar and space for dinners, parties, meetings, and just about any gathering with a good guest list.

Come hungry. Stay awhile.

You will find us at 319 N 78th St in Tower Plaza. Stop in for dinner, a drink, or no bigger reason than getting out of the house.
